New Coffee

We enjoy our coffee here but this week we stepped up our game. With the help of some Avion Reward Points, we procured a new coffee grinder and espresso machine.  The espresso machine is just little so it doesn’t take up a lot of space, but it does want we need it to.  There are lots of videos and tips for how to make the perfect espresso so we are still working on the exact measurements, but what we have made so far is great. Dave prefers a latte and I like an Americano.  The heating wand for the milk also emits hot water.  The hot water is also good just for making a tea if you’re so inclined.

Our coffee grinder that we have had for years, my grandparents gave it to us as either a wedding gift or housewarming gift, so a long time, finally bit the dust, so this was the catalyst for getting a new grinder.  This new one doesn’t cut the beans like our old one did, it grinds them up and I think you can really taste the difference.  It will grind for espresso, drip coffee, or French press.  

We like to make a pot of brewed drip coffee in the morning, and then have a “fancy” coffee in the afternoons.  It’s a nice treat without leaving the house.
