Weekend Recap

On Friday night we met some family at our favourite pizza place.  Dave's aunt was in town for a few days.  We all enjoyed our meals.

Q loves the pizza!

He ate almost a whole pizza himself and then dug right into his gelato.

After dinner, we dropped the boys at home, our babysitter came over and then Dave and I went to a party up the street for the parents of the students in E's class.  It was nice to see some familiar faces, meet new people, and share information.

On Saturday morning we headed off to High Park for opening day of High Park Little League.  It was chilly and wet.  Throwing the ball around while we waited for the ceremonies to get underway.

Trying to get in on the action.

E lined up with the teams for a parade while Q waited for it to start.

Here come the Mets!

Q was getting tired so he and I started the long walk back to the car while E and Dave waited for the event to end.

Since it was May the 4th, look who showed up to throw the first pitch!

We went home for lunch and tried to put Q down for a nap but he was kind of restless so it wasn't a great sleep for him.  I took a trip to Costco while E and Dave watched Infinity Wars.

Then we headed back to High Park for E's actual game.  The sun was coming out and it was warmer.

They had a great game.  This is their post-game huddle.

Needless to say we were tired when we got home.  We did a quick clean up, I made some meatballs for Q's supper and then Dave ordered some sushi for him and E (and some glass noodles for me).

On Sunday morning I managed to get up for my workout class and got home in time for Dave to head out on his run.  The boys played in the living room before church.

After church, E went to swimming and then he and Dave went to see Avengers End Game.  I tackled the front closet to put away all of the winter things, and also sorted through my drawers and closet and got rid of a bunch of things, and brought up my summer clothes.  It was productive.  When Q woke up we went for a drive to donate some clothes, drop baby clothes off at a friend's,  and pick up our grocery order.  There was a lot of traffic around, but we chilled out in the car and listened to Raffi.  It was so nice to be outside in the warm sunny weather, even if we were in the car.

We watched the Raptors game after the boys got home from the movies, and I made the best enchiladas in honour of Cinco de Mayo.  We took a spin over to the playground after supper.

I got lunches ready and even made my breakfast shake, and then Dave and I settled in to watch Game of Thrones.
