Christmas Decorations

Welcome to our Christmas home! Our house looks the best at this time of year.  I love seeing what people have for decorations, everyone has their own style, and I need this post as a reminder to myself of where we put everything! This year we had a couple of new pieces of furniture so we needed to move a few things around.

We did a something different with the front lights this year and got an inflatable.

Our snowmen found a home over by the TV.

I have this Christmas cactus that is doing well but no signs of any flowers.

Christmas Decorations

Today I'm sharing this year's Christmas decorations - come on in!

Every year is always slightly different but this year especially so.  Last year although the construction was finished, we didn't have much furniture yet. This is the first year with a complete living room. You can see the transformation here.

Our pretty tree has found its home along this wall, which worked out well since it was still without any artwork, so we needed something to fill the space.

I often group some of the ornaments together in themes, and this is the Toronto section.

We switched out the entryway rug for this seasonal one.  Ruggable actually shipped this to us by mistake when we placed our order, and then told us to just keep it. It's not something I would think of buying, but I like it!

And a few little touches in the basement. 

The kids also have little trees in their rooms, and we have a Harry Potter blow up in the backyard, but I didn't get photos of those.  Our house always looks the best this time of year!

Friday Favourites

 

I went to Simons on the weekend and got the boys some new sheets and now I wished I got some for us.  They are good quality and so cute.  Q's set is white with little smiley faces and E's are just a dark blue pattern.  I also got a new little rug for Q's room, it's much softer than the one he had, and then I moved his old one down to be in front of the washer and dryer.  Simons has the cutest things. 

I'm all for compostable cutlery but I'd prefer if they don't compost while I'm using them. I got this fork with my Kupfert and Kim order on Monday and it just kept crumbling. 

Taking Q to camp on Wednesday.  He was mad at me because he wanted to wait at a certain place for the subway but when it showed up as we were going down the stairs we just ran right on, and it wasn't what he wanted to do. Also he looks so old in this photo!!

Supper out on Wednesday night.  It rained before we got our food but we were under an umbrella so it was all fine.

I golfed on Thursday night, we started after work but still got 18 holes in.

We also saw this beaver.

We pick up E from camp on Saturday and we are all excited to see him and hear his stories about what he did.
