Weekend Recap

I started my Friday by going to the office. I had a few things to take care of and got to see a different view.

After everyone got home for the day, we headed over to our friends' for dinner.  Yummy tacos for everyone.

We always enjoy their company and I remembered to get a photo!

On Saturday morning, I got up early to do a workout and then Q and I went out to do some errands.  We needed to pick up a birthday gift for his friend, new equipment for this season of ball hockey, and of course we had to stop by the grocery store.  Q wanted to be in charge of taking the cart down the ramp.

Then I took Q home and went to the Cheese Boutique by mseylf with the goal of finding some different Easter candy.  Not so successful with that but I did get some meat and cheese and a baguette.  When I got home, we watched the F1 Quali and had some hot dogs for lunch, and of course watched the Masters.
We talked the kids into going for a walk up the street to get Booster Juice and although I wanted to have a quick nap, I went with them.

Then we left the boys at home for the night, and we went out to my colleague's house for dinner.  They have this little dog and she liked us.

We had a fun night, but it was a late one!!

Despite being out late, we still got to church on time for Palm Sunday.  The kids were participating in the palm parade.  I got this photo of them warming up.

We watched the F1 race when we got home from church.  Then this fox ran through our backyard.  We see lots of coyotes but we rarely see a fox.

Q was at a birthday party so I picked him up from there.  Why is birthday party pick up always so chaotic!?

Meanwhile E was out for the first golf round of the year.

And Dave was making cinnamon buns.

We made it through the emotional roller coaster that was Rory's journey to winning the Masters.  It was difficult to watch but we were so happy when he finally won! He's one of our favourites.
I got to read my book for awhile, E got home after dark from golf, and Dave and Q were watching a movie.

  1. That's a great photo of you and your friends. I remember birthday party pick-ups–they took forever and a day! Sometimes I’d remember to tell my kids before the party that when I came to get them and said “Let’s go”, I meant it, even if I was smiling!
