1. Favourite thing about Summer 2025?
Joining the golf club as a "learn to golf" member. I've enjoyed attending the new member clinics, ladies' night, and golfing with E (and Dave, but less often).
2. Favourite thing you ate this summer?
The entire meal I had at Sea Rocket in Charlottetown was my favourite. A perfect Negroni, local oysters, fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce, and a glass of dry rose.
3. Did you see any summer movies?
Yes, we saw F1 and Happy Gilmore 2. Still need to see Mission Impossible.
4. What books did you read this summer?
So far only one, Like Mother Like Mother, but now I've got an Elin Hilderbrand one on the go.
5. Ready for fall or hold onto summer?
Holding onto summer! We are only halfway through at this point.
6. What is different about your summer schedule than the rest of the year?
The kids are not in school so it means we are more relaxed with bedtimes. This year I have been working exclusively from home so that has been a change for me too. No need for me to get up and out the door early.
7. How do you take a break/relax in the summer?
Taking a nap. I'm good at taking a short nap in the afternoon and since we are usually up and out bright and early, that little snooze is well deserved!
8. Any trips still on the calendar for the rest of the summer?
A couple of weekend t-ball tournaments.
9. Any summer concerts this year?
Yes, we went to see Dave Matthews Band at Budweiser Stage and sat on the lawn.
10. When does summer end in your world?
When the kids go back to school, the Tuesday after Labour Day. Although the summer weather usually continues through September, we feel like official summer is over then.
We were always way more relaxed about bedtimes in summer too. Like Mother, Like Mother sounds like a good book-- did you enjoy it?
