First Day of School

The first day of Grade 2 is in the books!  E had a great day with his new teacher and even met some new kids in his class (although he could not tell us their names).  Here are some photos of the first day.

Lunch was packed the night before (let's see how long I can keep that up!).  Quesadillas, grapes, apple, and a special bus cookie from Bake Sale.

Egg sandwich on a bagel and berries for breakfast

Picture by the chalkboard.  He's getting so tall!

Family photo on the porch.

I quickly drove Q to school and then hurried back so Dave and I could walk E to school, our tradition.  It was a beautiful morning.

I snuck inside to find out where the before and after school program room is located and then took this photo of E's classroom.

First in line to meet the teacher and head inside!

After school Dave and I walked up around 5:00 to pick up Q first and then E.  It was a hot walk but a good opportunity to talk to E about his day and get a few more details than if we did the quick drive to pick him up.  We had dinner, practiced some reading, and had an early night in bed.
