Florida Recommendations

I have two trips to Florida coming up in the fall - first the four of us are going to Disney and Universal. Then I’m going to Miami with my friends.  I have been to both places before but I am looking for recommendations and tips, if you’ve got some to share!

Orlando - We went to Disney in 2018 (see that trip recap Here) but I think a lot has changed since then.  We already have our accommodations booked (Caribbean Resort) and we know the days we will be going to each park.  But any tips for the new way of skipping the lines or great restaurants to try would be helpful.  I know the internet is full of this, but I trust you guys!  Also Universal is all new to me, so I don’t really know what to expect there.

Miami - I have been to Miami twice for work, and I’ve checked out a few different spots, brief visit to South Beach and a Cuban sandwich at Enriqueta’s (Here).  I stayed in Brickell, but this time we want to stay in South Beach, and we also want to take a trip down to the Keys and spend a night there.  That’s a totally new area to me.  Tips for South Beach and the Keys are welcome!

Please leave a comment here, or I’ll put a comment box on my Instagram (@smacto) so you could swing by there!  Thanks!

  1. You are going to have a fabulous time in Disney and Universal! What time of year are you going? We went in December last time and didn't need Genie + or Lightning Lanes. We stayed on property so we got early access to the parks and went straight to the busier rides, then we rode the other rides throughout the day and as the park got less crowded later we went back to busy rides again. All that to say, I know people who have gone at busier times and swore by lightning lane and Genie+, so I think it depends on when you go and your family's preferences!
