Weekend Recap

I'm a day late getting this post up. Q had a baseball game on Monday night and by the time we got home and ate dinner, it was after 9:00!

On Friday I coordinated golf camp pick up with meeting my friend for lunch on the patio. It was a lovely lunch.

And my mom had lunch with the boys.

That night Dave and Q had baseball practice and then we had burgers when they got home.

Q had an early baseball game on Saturday morning, which they won. We all went home, had some lunch, watched the F1 Quali and then went downtown to walk around.

No real plans other than getting an ice cream, walking along the waterfront, and then getting dinner.
And getting Q’s photos in various places!

Yummy ice cream at Ice Creamology.

Lots to see down by the lake.

Can you see the outline of Terry Fox?

We walked around by the Skydome and the train museum.

And Q took a ride on the train.

We chose Amsterdam Brewhouse for an early dinner, because I like the patio, but I will say that the meal wasn’t that great, so maybe we need to find a new spot.

When we got home we watched the He-Man movie.

On Sunday morning Dave went golfing and my mom and I went to Costco. I had originally planned to go to get propane but then I didn’t even need it. Still managed to get a full cart, haha.

Q had a rep exhibition game on Saturday afternoon.

When we got home Dave made pizzas for our dinner.

Yummy!

Meanwhile E was working on our broken dishwasher.  The string that holds the spring for the door had snapped, so we ordered the new parts and E was working on installing them.

We finished watching He-Man and got to bed after that busy day!

Weekend Recap

We started our weekend by welcoming Dave's parents and aunt, here to stay for a couple of days.  I made lemon chicken and served that with rice, Greek salad, pitas, hummus, and tzatziki.  It was a good meal for a group.  We watched the new Brad Pitt and George Clooney movie, Wolfs, that night.

We had no plans for Saturday so after sleeping in for a little bit, we went for a walk up the street to do a few errands. I started out with a sweatshirt but realized quickly I did not need.

Then we went for a walk to see the salmon jumping by the Humber River.

I did a workout and then poured myself a late season Aperol Spritz while we settled in to watch the Toronto FC v. Miami soccer game.  Messi was in town which was a pretty big deal.

Q put on his Messi jersey (and then watched about five minutes of the game, eyeroll!)

We played some cards before dinner, which was fish cakes, made by Dave's mom.

We all went to church on Sunday (or almost all of us, Dave had an early tee time).  While I made supper, I joined in on a family Monopoly game.

Here is the lovely lasagna I made, it was a Jamie Oliver recipe and it turned out really well.  I also made garlic bread and caesar salad.  One of my favourite meals, particularly for a group.

After that we started in on the Halloween movies, first up The Haunted Mansion.  We went on the ride at Disney last year.  We recognized a familiar face in the movie...
