I love planning a trip and that is exactly what I get to do now. We have booked a trip to New York City for November for the four of us. The kids have never been to New York so it will be exciting to show some places that I already know and to explore some new places too. I visited NYC with a friend in 2017 (that recap Here) and Dave and I went in 2013 (recap Here). The trip with kids will have to be slightly different than those trips - probably less shopping and earlier dinners ;)
New York has a such a great energy, and if you’ve been there you know, and even when I see people in NY on TV or in movies, I can feel what it’s like, and I’m excited to go back. I have only ever been to NY in the fall and we decided to do it again, I think it’s the perfect time to travel.
I have plotted out how we will spend our days, and have made a few reservations, but I will probably still be working on this for a few more weeks, so any recommendations are welcome. We are going to adopt the same strategy we had in Disney, which is “eat all day”. In New York that means we won’t say no to bagels, pretzels, coffee, ice cream, or whatever else we come across. It will keep the kids moving and motivated to get to the next spot.
When in November? I will be in the area over Thanksgiving, but I'm betting you wouldn't go then, too crowded!
ReplyDeleteThe first weekend. Just before Election Day, which I didn't even think about.
DeleteGround Zero is a must. And I bet your boys would enjoy the Lego store!
