Weekend Recap

We had a fairly quiet weekend, which is reflected in the amount of photos I took, and it was nice to not have many set plans.  After the first week of school it was good to have some downtime.

On Friday we had an easy dinner of chicken burgers and then watched Amazing Race.

On Saturday morning E had an early baseball practice.  It was chilly and I actually needed a sweatshirt to start the day.  It was nice to be outside though.

Dave and Q went to the golf course and played around on the practice hole.

It was such a nice day when we got back home that I decided to go for a run. The weather was perfect for it.  Dave and E had a tee time for 2:30 so after lunch Q and I dropped them off at the club and we went to do some errands.  First stop on any good errand run is always Starbucks!  Q got this fox cookie and wanted me to take various pictures of him eating it.

We went to the toy store to look around, Staples for school supplies, and Home Sense for throw pillows.  We then went to the club to get E and Dave with plans to eat dinner there, but the pub area was booked for an event and it was too cold to sit on the patio.  So instead we went to the mall, where we were going to go anyway, and ate at Joey.
I haven't really been to the mall in awhile and I was surprised by how many families were there on a Saturday night, just like us, I guess this is how people spend their time!
E picked out a new pair of sneakers and suddenly looked way older.

I bought myself a few things for work, and I looked at sneakers too but didn't buy any yet.

On Sunday we resumed our normal fall routine - Dave golfed, the boys and I went to church, the kids played with friends in the afternoon, Dave cleaned and I went to the grocery store and cooked supper.  I made this spinach lasagna.

It was an early night for the boys, and Dave and I stayed up to watch The Perfect Couple (which I did not clue in was based on an Elin Hilderbrand novel instead we started it).

That was probably the last uneventful weekend for us for a couple of weeks.
