What's Up Wednesday

You'd think I'd be tired of doing this What's Up Wednesday posts after all these years, but I love doing this little recap of our month, and I often go back to years' past to see what we were up to then.

What we're eating this week...
Sunday - Hamburgers
Monday - Quesadillas and Corn
Tuesday - Lemon Parm Pasta and Chicken
Wednesday - Sausages
Thursday - Dinner at the Golf Club
Friday - Take out

What I'm reminiscing about...
I was remembering summers I spent with my grandparents when I was a teenager, before I had a job.  I would usually go to Ontario to stay with them for a couple of weeks. My Nana and I liked to go shopping, we would play cards, visit their friends' cottages. I was lucky to spend that time with them.

What I'm loving...
E has a Canada's Wonderland pass for the summer and he has been there a few times already.  Most of his friends have one too and it's a great way to spend the day. They gave up on the line for the new coaster, AlpenFury, yesterday but got lots of other rides in.

What I'm dreading...
I still haven't sorted through the papers that the kids brought home from school (I know!!). And although I'm sure most of it will end of in the garbage, I am still dreading that task.

What we've been up to...
We had a lovely trip to Prince Edward Island last week.  You can read about it here and here.

What I'm working on...
I'm the team manager for Q's t-ball rep team so I am organizing the team dinner for this weekend and also ordering some Subway platters for Sunday.

What I'm watching/reading...
We enjoyed the new Happy Gilmore movie! And I just finished Amy Bradley is missing. We are always watching our Blue Jays, although this has been a rough week!

I just picked up an Elin Hilderbrand book as a summer read.

What I'm listening to...
The Rewatchables podcast on Brokeback Mountain.  I haven't watched that movie for many years but I am inspired to put it on again, even just for the award winning score.

What I'm wearing...
My new Blue Mussel Cafe t-shirt! I don't always buy a t-shirt from stores/restaurants, but I liked this simple one as a a souvenir from our delicious lunch.

What I'm doing this weekend...
Q has a t-ball tournament in Ancaster.  We have a hotel booked for three nights.

What I'm looking forward to next month...
More t-ball, golf, and enjoying our summer.

What else is new...
I had to buy a mug from Village Pottery. I chose this style as a latte mug for Dave.  And we of course had to get some coffee beans from Receiver.

  1. I have such wonderful memories of traveling with my grandparents; I too feel so lucky to have those memories. It sounds like your whole family has been having a great month.
