What a fun weekend!! We had lots going on and the two Blue Jays wins were icing on the cake! The weather was gorgeous as well. On Friday Q had his cross-country race. We went up to cheer him on.
All the Grade 4 boys.
Q did well. This was the first year for 2 km and although he did practice a little bit, it’s always a different feeling on race day. This was at the end and he surged ahead with some extra energy to pass a few people.
Needed that Gatorade!
But a smile too!
Dave went golfing so we took the opportunity to get the T-ball Rep coaches’ gifts ready. I had ordered customized Lego figures for each coach. They turned out really well!
Q had a baseball clinic on Saturday morning. The 8 year olds are all moving up to baseball next year so this clinic introduced them to some stuff that is different from t-ball.
Then we continued to tied up the house to get ready for our guests to arrive. We were hosting the t-ball rep team for the end of year party. And coincidentally Game 1 of the Blue Jays-Yankees series.
Since the house was tidy I had to take a few photos to commemorate.
Dave set up the projector and screen so we could put the game on outside.
A great group of kids and a fun party!
Lego Coach Dave
To continue with the t-ball theme, Q’s house league team had its end of year party the next day. We went to Tilt Arcade Bar where you pay $10 for all you can play arcade and video games. It is amazing!!
Guitar Hero! I played a few rounds of that too.
And Skee-Ball, another favourite.
Dave, as head coach, had made certificates and customized toy bats with the kids’ names and numbers on them. It was a fun afternoon!
And then we went home to watch another amazing Blue Jays game!!
That sounds like a wonderful weekend. I love those personalized minifigs. They're so cute.
