Happy Friday!! September was a great month, and although I am looking forward to things happening in October, I will miss those trailing days of summer.
Grade 4 students get to start playing a stringed instrument and Q was given a violin. He brought it home one day to show us and “practice”. They don’t have any songs yet, just learning how to make a good sound.
We got this new sideboard and plant for our dining room. We need some artwork to hang above, but this is good progress.
E’s little “Cuddly Pal” is still with us. He’s had it since he was a baby. I was allowed to wash him the other day when I did E’s bedding. He is well loved.
I took the opportunity to walk down to the river the other day to see if the salmon were jumping. They were and I saw several make it over the falls.
As part of Q’s birthday present we got some tickets to Wednesday’s Blue Jays Game. We were hoping for a bit better of a game, but we still had a good time.
Q made this sign to take with him. He got on the big screen!
A kid that was sitting near us came up to give us an extra ball he got earlier during batting practice. And when we said thank you and said it was Q’s birthday he came back with one of those bats carved out to be a cup. He said he got an extra one so he wanted to give it to us. His mom nodded that it was okay. What a nice surprise!
Busy weekend ahead as we continue with Q’s birthday celebrations.

Sounds like some adults at ball games could benefit from the example of that kind and selfless child! 😅
