Whew, what a weekend! I had a busy day at work, and then quit a bit early to run a few birthday party related errands, and after I picked up Q from the Y (no school last Friday) we made his birthday cupcakes. And Q and I watched Angels in the Outfield and then some of the Blue Jays game. Dave was golfing and E was just downstairs having golfed earlier in the afternoon.
On Saturday morning I got up early to ice the cupcakes and then I drove Dave to the golf club for the mens’ closing tournament and dinner.
Then we went downtown to meet my friend Cindy and her nieces who were in town for the weekend. We found a quick geocache before going to the restaurant.
Nice to have a quick visit.
That night Dave and I went to a party at our local social club.
It had a ‘90s theme and the band played some great ‘90s covers. I had such a good time dancing and singing. I still know all the words to those songs. I was more of an R&B, rap, teeny bopper fan in high school, but since then I have come to appreciate the Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, and Rage Against the Machine so I could sing along with those songs too.
We had Q’s birthday party on Sunday afternoon at Boulderz climbing gym. Everyone did great!
Our humble set up for the party.
Say 6 - 7!!
Q opened his gifts when he got home.
Including a baseball card binder, so he and E set to work getting his cards organized.
And more cupcakes of course.
We loved seeing the Blue Jays finish up the regular season with the American League East Title!! And also Team Europe taking the Ryder Cup. Big sports weekend :)
