Summer Recap

We are off on our last camping trip of the summer tomorrow, so one more summer adventures awaits before school begins next Thursday, but I wanted to do a recap of our summer fun today.  Happy September 1st!

We kicked summer off with a camping trip at Algonquin. We hiked, spent some time in Huntsville, and enjoyed the great outdoors.

The kids went to camp (E went to overnight camp for Muskoka Woods for two weeks, Q went to four different day camps - High Junction gymnastics, Jack of Sports, Tamarack West, and Boulevard Club). Q got to ride the subway to get to one of his camps and that was a highlight for him.

Dave joined a golf club and we got to enjoy the patio.

Q learned to swing on our backyard swing.

We spent some time by the water.

Picked up E from camp and enjoyed Muskoka.

Went swimming at the public pools.

We camped with four other families at Arrowhead.  

My mom visited from Nova Scotia.

Dave and I golfed a couple of times.

E played baseball.

We camped again at Arrowhead.

We took the kids and two of their friends to Avenger S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at Yorkdale Mall.

We did some paddle boarding. 

My dad visited (and Q played soccer each week).

We went to a cottage on Jack Lake and the kids got to tube (Q) and waterski (E)

Dave's sister and parents visited.

The kids spent time at Dave's parents' house in Sarnia.

Dave and I went to a Jays game.

We still have a few weeks of warm weather left, so we can still do some biking, swimming, and eating outside.   I'll be back next week to recap our camping trip and share how we are getting ready for the first day of school.
