A little baby, born to poor people, in the lowliest of circumstances, sent as a gift from God. The poor shepherds and the rich kings were all told of his arrival and all were welcomed.
What can I give him? Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
if I were a wise man, I would do my part, yet
what can I give him - give my heart.
In the Bleak Midwinter
Lovely, Sarah! That is a favourite carol...those words (and the music) are beautiful....singing that last line always fills me up with love.
