Friday Favourites

Yay! It's a long weekend here in Canada, the unofficial kick off to summer.

On Monday I got to go golfing for a ladies' day.  We were at a golf club near my house so it was very convenient.  It was supposed to rain all day but it didn't and we had blue skies.

Q started soccer this week.  This year he is on team Argentina, which meant everyone wanted to be number 10 (for Messi).  But that shirt was too big for Q so I convinced him to pick 7 for David Beckham (yes, I know he didn't play for Argentina).

Q was goalie to start out (in the orange shirt).

We had no sports on Wednesday so we biked up the street. I wanted to go to the library and grocery store so I had to bribe the kids with Yogurty's in order to get them to come with me.  It worked and we all enjoyed our treat (Dave was golfing).

We had one of our favourite meals Crunchy Mac and Cheese this week and I had E sort of do it himself, with me prompting him along the way.  He did a great job.

Dave picked up these planters last week for the front porch and they look great.  Now we just need to make sure the watering system is on so they stay healthy all season.

I listen to the podcast the Rewatchables (part of the Ringer pod family) where they talk about old movies.  This week they did Jerry Maguire so after listening and then forcing Dave to listen, we watched the movie itself.  I think it holds up pretty well for being from 1996.  Show me the money!!

We have a few fun things planned for the weekend - bike rides, Blue Jays game, golf for E, and probably an ice cream and French fries at the park :)

Linking up with Andrea and Erika.

  2. What a lovely day for golfing! I still often bribe my kids with food/snacks to get them to do thing. It's just a win/win when I get to have ice cream with them.

  3. Blue skies are the best! I’m glad you had good weather for golfing. E did a great job with the crunchy Mac and cheese, it looks delicious. The planters look great and the flowers are so bright and pretty. Have a lovely long weekend you lucky girl!
