Weekend Recap

On Friday our street was finally paved and the years of construction officially came to an end.  Doesn't it look nice!?

At the end of the day we watched the F1 Sprint Quali and the kids took some downtime on the couch.

We had picked a couple of fancy pizzas for our supper.

After supper we walked up the street to try and find a geocache.  E was learning about this from a friend at school and apparently there was one near our house, but with the condo construction going on, it has been displaced.

After we got home we watched Part 1 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  I'm sure I've seen it before I could not remember any of it! So now I wonder if I have seen it or if I fell asleep in the theatre!

We were all out of the house bright and early on Saturday.  It had been calling for rain, but it turned out to be a beautiful day.  E and I went to his baseball double header.

Coach Mom!

We had a great morning - 1 win and 1 loss.

Meanwhile Q and Dave were at the Opening Day for Q's t-ball league. And then he had ball hockey.

In the afternoon we had a drink with some neighbours to toast the end of the construction!

And then we settled in to watch the Maple Leafs in Game 7.  Q was tired and we sent him to bed at the first intermission.  The rest of us stayed up to witness the sad end to the Leafs' brief playoff run.

Another early morning on Saturday. It was Q's first t-ball game of the season.

Coach Dad sorting out the line up with the team.

I didn't stay for the game, instead going to church.  On my way home I found this robin's eggshell so I brought it home to show the boys.

When the boys were riding home from t-ball, they looked for more geocaches.

Q had a birthday party that afternoon so while he was there I did a few errands, including picking up this Smile cookie for him at Tim Hortons.

It was Junior Opening Day at the golf club so E was there golfing, and Dave managed to get out ahead of the juniors for 18 holes of his own.  Then Q and I met them for dinner at the club.
E (in the red hat) finishing up on 18.

Setting up for a group photo of the juniors.

And we managed to fit in an episode of The Amazing Race before bed.
