I decided to become an Independent Consultant for Arbonne and so I signed up last week. It is something I have thought about doing for awhile and so I finally did it. I have realized I have a lot to learn and I'll be sharing some more about this new venture in the coming weeks.
I had heard of Arbonne a few years ago when I attended a party promoting the products but at the time I didn't think it was for me. Then my cousin Emma became a consultant last year and she introduced more of the products to me. Not to sound too frivolous but I fell in love with the products and I've slowly incorporated many of them into my regular routine. Dave has used the shaving cream, and E used the diaper cream exclusively the whole time he was in cloth diapers. The kids stuff is really great, especially considering the other products out there.
I am really looking forward to getting involved with this company. Not only do I hope to make some extra spending money and get my own discount on the products, I will be learning more about sales and marketing which will actually help me in my law career. Maybe this isn't a surprise to you, but I was surprised to learn early on that sales is a big part of being a lawyer in private practice. Too bad they don't teach basic sales techniques in law school. Conflicts of laws - yes, sales - no.
Anyway, leave me a comment if you'd like to learn more about the products or about becoming an independent consultant yourself. I always think it is fun when people try new things and take on new adventures.
