Today's theme is your favourite room.
In our new house we have an open concept kitchen, dining room and family room. I thought if I picked that entire room it would sort of be cheating so I just picked the family room portion of the room. This room is definitely one of the reasons we bought this house. Most of the houses on our street are about the same size and they were all built in the 1920s. The former owners of our house built an extension and created this extra space in an otherwise old house. The back windows look into our private backyard. When it is covered in snow it is quite pretty but I am really looking forward to the summer when it is leafy and green. This back room really has a cottagey-feel which I love especially since we live in a city. We were lucky that our couch fit this space so well.
We got this painting in Peru.
This is the vaulted roof with lots of windows to let in natural light. Also, since there is no other storey above this room you can hear the rain on the roof.
