We hosted our third annual Christmas drop in on Saturday. It was largely a success and we were so happy to see so many friends and neighbours.
I love going back to look at the guest book to remember who was with us (and to learn/remember names of our neighbours that we see only once in awhile).
Meatballs in the slow cooker, vegetables and dip, shrimp butter and oat cakes, and cheese, meat and crackers. Our usual spread and all very tasty.
The sweets table - sugar cookies, gingerbread men, almond crescents, peanut butter balls, peppermint crunch cookies, peppermint snowcaps, pink squares, snackies, spiced nuts, butter tarts and candy.
While we got ready for the party, Q held down this corner of the couch.
Dave's parents were here to help us out again, and we were glad to have them!
We also had Dave's cousin and his family visiting from Ottawa. We were so happy to see them, and their daughter had a great time with Q and E. She is a doll!
(Unfortunately all of these turned out blurry)
We had so many kids this year, which was great. Here are some gathered around Q, most of them were very interested in him.
This is actually from Friday night, but I liked it.
We love visiting with everyone, and we hope to continue the tradition for years to come.
An awesome tradition!! The guest book is a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, how cute are those kids! Q on the couch, E tilting his head, L interacting with Q! Great family photos.
