Some favourite moments from my week:
Sometimes when Q wakes up early from his nap, we need to fill in time for the rest of the afternoon, so we go for a walk. On Tuesday, between thunderstorms, we went for a walk by the river. It was lovely.
This is a favourite toy of ours. It was one of the first real toys that we bought for E, one that he could actually play with while sitting up (unlike rattles or chew toys that he would just wave around without any real thought), and now we have it out for Q. The little plane passengers pop up with different buttons with some fun sounds, and when you move the wheels along the ground, it makes airplane sounds and music.
E was spaced out watching The Magic School Bus on Netflix, but I wanted to catch his little face. He is growing up so fast but he is still my little boy and I embrace the moments when we get to snuggle on the couch.
We made nachos for supper on Thursday. Not sure who I thought was coming over to help us eat them, but they were tasty and now there are leftovers for lunch. I made two layers with corn, black beans, green pepper, red onion, tomatoes, and the tex-mex cheese blend. We also had some homemade guac on the side. For Q's dinner, I blended up some avocado, tomatoes, and black beans and combined it with pureed chicken. He loved it!
When we were at the park, I found this little worm on my shirt, but I had to show E before I brushed him off.
I have a summer cold (sore throat and a bit of a stuffy nose) so I've made this hot toddy a few nights this week. I may or may not have added some whisky as well ;)
Happy Friday!!
Those nachos look amazing! And yay for whiskey in hot toddies!
