Show and Tell Tuesday (on Monday)

Normally I would do a weekend recap today but since our weekend is still happening (love a holiday Monday!) then I am going to post my Tuesday link up post today and do the weekend recap tomorrow.  Got it?  Let's move on.

So (tomorrow) I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday.

Today's topic is a favourite one of mine - a day in your life.  I chose last Wednesday because I knew it would be a pretty typical day.

I set a reminder on my phone so I would remember to take photos all day.

I got up at 6:15 and showered.  Then I heard little Q awake as Dave was getting up for his shower. I went in to see his smiling face.

I got him dressed and then put him back in his crib with some books while I dried my hair, flat ironed it, and then ironed a shirt.  Before I started my make up I went in to wake up E.

Dave took the boys downstairs while I finished getting ready.  Breakfast was underway when I got down.  E was working on his maze book while he ate.

I made coffee, E's lunch, and my lunch, then it was time to get out the door.  Let's go Q!

E and I dropped Q off at school and then we went to E's school and took a quick selfie.

With both kids safely at school, it was finally time to eat my breakfast in the car.  Peanut butter and jam sandwich and coffee.  Not fancy, but it was the best I could do on this morning.  On my drive I listened to Kaitlyn Bristowe's podcast, her guest was Whitney, the "winner" of Chris Soules' Bachelor season.

Then I got to my office to start my day.

I worked on a few different things all morning, some billable work, and some administrative stuff.  I also ordered some winter boots for E online but then Dave was able to pick them up in store on the same day.  Then it was lunchtime.  I had some leftover chili for my lunch; I ate in the kitchen with a few other people.

In the afternoon I decided to put on a Spotify country music playlist while I worked.  It featured a lot of Alan Jackson and other classic favourites.

I made myself a coffee and got a donut that someone had brought home to get through the afternoon.

I worked on basically one file from 1:00 to 4:00 and then managed to get a couple of little things out of the way before heading out the door at 5:00.  Leaving my office.

On the drive home I listened to the rest of Kaitlyn's podcast and then part of the Jay and Dan podcast. I picked up Q and E and we headed home.

I had made this spinach lasagna (a Michael Smith recipe) the night before so Dave put it in the oven and it was ready for us when we walked in the door.

Supper time.  Everyone loved the lasagna.

After supper I did the dishes while Dave took the boys outside to play, but then it started to rain so they came back in and went down to the basement instead.  I folded a basket of laundry and cleaned up the guest room to get ready for my mom's visit.  After Q went to bed at 7:00, I did some blogging while Dave read to E.  After he came down we heard a little voice that said, "can you bring me something to eat and snuggle with me?".  So I took a banana up to E and sat with him for a few minutes.

For the rest of the evening we watched TV and had a couple of snacks, and then went to bed around 11:00.  Simple day.
