Christmas Decorations 2018

These are always my favourite posts to read since I love getting a peek into others' homes; sometimes I love their decor, other times I wonder what they are thinking, but either way, it is entertaining!  So come on and see what we did this year.

We added a few new lights around the tree, a snowman and some coloured spotlights.

Wreath from Plant World.

The living room - in the day...

And late afternoon when I turned the tree lights on.

The new cone trees are from Michaels and Homesense.  The candle holders are from Homesense too.

This sign is a new addition as well.

The Disney ornament we picked up on our trip in October.

We got this on in Halifax when we were there this summer.

And a few old favourites - these bears used to be on Dave's tree when he was growing up.

I made this wreath in Brownies when I was young.  It's stuck around for a few years!

This old bell belonged to my grandparents but I don't remember the story around it.  I'm sure my mom can fill me in.

My Scarlett O'Hara ornament, a git from my Nana.

We love these beaded ornaments, and my mom made the birds and snowmen on the right.

Bells and felt garland between the living room and dining room.

My favourite sequin tree from Target

I picked up this hand painted block from a local gift shop.

A festive tray with some ingredients for egg nogs or Irish coffees.

Stars and snowflakes on the chandelier above the dining room table.

I got two pillow cases at Indigo; I realized I didn't have to buy the whole pillow I could just put the cases around the plain grey ones that are always on the couch.

A selection of the kids' artwork over the desk.

These birds and birdhouses found a new home on the windowsills going up the stairs.

A new pom pom wreath in the upstairs hallway; looking into E's room

Q doesn't have his own tree yet, but I got this cute snowman to add a festive touch to his room.

A few things will probably change since Dave installed our new shelves in the TV room this weekend and we now have new surfaces for decorations.
