Want it Wednesdays - Summer at the LCBO

I went on a little scavenger hunt on the LCBO's website this week (this is what the liquor store is called in Ontario) to find some beverages that I want to try before summer is over.  Not that fun drinks are limited to summertime, but there is something about a patio, sunshine, and an icy beverage that makes it seem more appropriate now.

I wanted to showcase some Ontario products, if you can get them at your local store, try them.

I have actually had this a few times already, but it is delicious.  Also it reminds me of one of my favourite songs by The Tragically Hip.

This is not an Ontario product but as soon as I saw it, I was interested.  My grandfather was a navigator in a Lancaster in World War II.  This summer the one still operating Canadian Lancaster flew to England to do a tour with a British Lancaster.  The Canadian one normally resides at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton.  One day I'd like to go there and see a real Lancaster for myself.

This has my name written all over it and I'll definitely be buying it next time.

I'm not usually a huge rose fan, but it is good on the patio.

I have bought a bottle of this every time I've gone to the liquor store this summer.  It is simple and tasty. We visited this winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.  It is one of our favourites.

Hope you found something to try.
