First of all, I want to mention the wildfires in Fort McMurray. This is such devastation, but one of my favourite things is coming out of it, and it's how people have come together to support one another. My Facebook feed is filled with stories about restaurants paying for meals, people offering their homes for free accommodations, donations, and other heartwarming tales. My most favourite is the story about the Syrian refugees wanting to help. They know what it is like to lose everything and to be displaced and after they were welcomed in Canada, they want to give back. I love it. It reminds me of Mark 12:42 of the poor widow who placed two coins in the offering.
On Wednesday I attended an all day conference. It was held at York University at their brand new engineering business. It is a beautiful building and it made me want to go back to school. #nerd
E had a dentist appointment this week and he looked so old sitting in the waiting room. He did well and doesn't have any more cavities (although we need to be better at brushing his back teeth).
On Wednesday I posted about my favourite Instagram and Twitter people to follow.
Yesterday I posted about one of my new favourite snacks - roasted cinnamon almonds.
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there!! We don't have any big plans (at least none that I know of), but I do have a hair appointment on Saturday and I am looking forward to that!
