Weekend Recap

We had a great weekend, and it looks like we may be gearing up for a white Christmas!! If this snow can stick around for another weeks, and the cold temperatures seem to be in our favour, then we may  be able to go sledding on Christmas Day.

On Friday night, we made our own pub food like we did a couple of weeks ago.  I made nachos and honey garlic wings and they were good.  I find that nachos are so tricky to order at a restaurant since they aren't always as good as you think it will be, but when you make your own then they are always perfect.

I can't even remember what we watched on Friday night because I'm pretty sure I fell asleep halfway through it.  We woke up to quite a bit more snow.

The view of our backyard.  More snow for the sledding hill :)

Dave and E went out to shovel.

While Dave finished up the shovelling, I joined these two on the couch.

After lunch I went up the street to do some errands and when I go back, E's friend (and our neighbour) had come over to go sledding.  I watched them a bit with Q, and then we all went inside.

After supper, we went to a neighbour's house for their holiday drop-in.  It was really nice to visit with the neighbours since I was not the hostess so I could actually carry on a conversation!

E snuggled up in bed, he had a busy day and was tired.

On Sunday morning, we got ready for church.  It was the day of the annual Christmas pageant and this year Q was asked to play the Baby Jesus.  E was a wise man this year.

These pictures are from rehearsal.  Unfortunately (and yet predictably), E dropped his wise man gift during the performance and the bottom smashed.  He was thisclose to bursting into tears, but we encouraged him to keep going and he just cupped his hands together to hold his pretend gift to bring to baby Jesus.

In the afternoon, E went to a birthday party and I tidied the house.  Here is my little laundry helper.

When he got home, we all got our comfy clothes on and sat down to watch one of my favourite Christmas movies, A Muppet Christmas Carol.

We finished off our evening watching the Raptors, and the recorded Saturday Night Live.
