Weekend Recap

My mom left first thing on Friday morning and then it was time to clean up the guest room for our next weekend visitor, Cindy, all the way from the magical island of PEI! (I tease, but seriously, people from Toronto think that PEI is so remote that they are always somewhat intrigued by visitors from there.) We went to the Jays game and they were winning but then blew it in the last couple of innings.  But it was still fun to be there, I love watching Stroman pitch, I love the popcorn, and being downtown.

I put my rally cap on, but it didn't help.

On Saturday we had a lazy morning of drinking coffee and talking about Trump.   Then E was off to a birthday party.  It was at the Loblaws cooking school, they got to make pizza and decorate cupcakes.  He had a great time and brought home 6 cupcakes for us to share!

In the evening we watched Sully.  It was really good but the flight scenes were so nerve wracking.  I still get upset by 9/11 stuff and I am sort of a nervous flyer, so the scenes of low flying plans in New York along with "Brace for impact" instructions from the pilot made me nervous.

We went to church on Sunday morning, and then spent the rest of the afternoon around the house.  It was cold and windy so we turned the fireplace on, and I read my book for a little bit before making some baby food and chocolate chip cookies.

I conveniently didn't plan supper for Sunday night so we ordered pizza.  The best part was that I could walk to pick it up.  I think we will do this again.

Matching pyjamas at bedtime and so we needed a couple of photos.  If Q looks huge, it is because he is.
