Show and Tell Tuesday

Linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday.

Today's topic is how to win my heart.

I am a fairly simple person, I like what I like, and I don't think I complain too much.  When I was thinking about things that would win my heart, they all went back to the same thing - someone else making a plan for me and me just showing up.  To be clear, that doesn't mean I want a lot of surprises, I've never been a big fan, but since I am a planner of meals, vacations, and social and school events, if I could not have to think about something but still have it be wonderful and thoughtfully planned out for me, then that would be great.

These plans would preferably include exploring a part of Toronto where we have never been, or a  coffee shop we've never tried.  A meal planned and made with a nice bottle of wine.  And some time to spend with my loved ones enjoying life!  Oh yeah, and maybe some flowers ;)

I remember the first Valentine's Day I spent with Dave, and he basically did just what I described above.  He brought me flowers and planned a dinner for us and we enjoyed it together among some candlelight at my apartment.  It was just the right amount of something special but not being an over the top surprise.  When we got engaged, Dave also planned our evening, while keeping some of it a secret - we went downtown for dinner and then to Dirty Dancing, the musical.  Last year for Valentine's Day, Dave arranged for our friends to come over to babysit E while we went out for a nice supper at Drake One Fifty.  I don't need expensive gifts, just give me some food and drinks and I'll be happy ;)

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. This is such a great way to show love! Having someone else take care of the details is such a blessing isn't it?
