Friday Favourites

Happy Friday!

This weekend we will be recognizing Remembrance Day.  I used to lose my poppy all of the time and would have to make several donations during the campaign.  This year I have not lost my poppy at all, so I decided to make my own through the My Poppy campaign.  You can customize it and dedicate it to someone special (or leave it blank).

Our church is participating in the Bells for Peace  on Sunday afternoon. The idea is for church bells and other bells to ring 100 times at rolling times across the country.  Our church doesn't have a bell but the congregation is invited to ring our handbells in parking lot.  If you hear bells ringing on Sunday afternoon, you will know what it is.

I know this is probably obvious, but the other day at work I put my soup into a mug and sipped instead of using a bowl and spoon.  Part of the reason was that I was just too lazy to lift a spoon over and over to eat all fo the soup, and second, I was having it at my desk and a mug was less messy.   But it was so cozy and I think I'll have to start enjoying my soup this way more often.

A short and sweet Friday Favourites.
