What's Up Wednesday

What we're eating this week...
I've hit a meal planning wall so we are eating whatever happens to be around the house.  I'll get my act back together for next week/month.

What I'm reminiscing about...
Our wonderful summer.  I am pulling together my summer recap post that will be up on Monday, so so stayed tuned.  We had lots of fun!

What I'm loving...
My new Raptors shirt!

What we've been up to...
We enjoyed our summer holidays last week in Lake Placid, NY, and Jefferson, NH.  My recap of this trip will be up tomorrow and Friday, so come back to check it out.

What I'm dreading...
Not much other than figuring out which swimming lessons to sign the kids up for this coming fall, and then dreading getting them to those lessons.  It's always hectic but important for them to learn more swimming skills.

What I'm working on...
Planning my trip to San Francisco.  I am going with my friends Cindy and Megan in November.  Flights are booked, next up hotel, and then an itinerary.  Travel tips welcome!

We are also working on switching the boys' bedrooms. We will paint the small room that will become Q's room, and get a new bed and desk for E in the big room.

What I'm excited about...
I'm excited to see who E's teacher will be this year and who will be in his class. We should get the email from the school on Friday or Saturday with that information.  I always loved going back to school so I'm living vicariously through him now!

What I'm watching/reading...
Just finished up The Handmaid's Tale (season finale was intense!), continuing with Stranger Things, and need to start Mindhunter.

I wrote about my August books yesterday here.  Currently reading The Things We Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer.

What I'm listening to...
I'm back on the "A Star is Born" soundtrack.  It's great company at work.

What I'm doing this weekend...
Going to Sarnia to pick up E who is with Dave's parents this week, then coming back and getting ready for the first day of school.
What I'm looking forward to next month...
The first day of school, getting back to healthy eating habits, golfing a couple of times, the end of E's soccer and t-ball seasons, and Q's birthday.

What else is new...
When we say "time to get dressed", Q hears and repeats as "time to get my dress on", which sounds so cute.  I remember E used to do this too.  I always repeat it even though it's incorrect, but he'll grow out of it soon enough.

Linking up with Shay and Sheaffer.
