Gingerbread House Decorating

The golf club where Dave and E are members hosted a gingerbread decorating afternoon for the kids this past weekend.  Now, I have never been a big fan of decorating gingerbread houses because they always seem to fall apart and the icing never works, but I'm all for a holiday event so we signed up.

This was a great event however and the club did an amazing job.  The gingerbread houses were already built so no need for us to try and construct them or wait for the icing to dry. The icing itself was amazing and was easy to use (for the parents anyway, a bit difficult for the kids).  I didn't even try to take over the design to make it perfect, haha, the boys had all the ideas and did a great job of executing them.

The fresh snow made for a pretty view of the course.

Wrapped up all nicely for us to take home.  We are leaving it wrapped for now and will start picking away at it next week.

This is Santa's sleigh with two reindeer pulling it.

My only regret was that they had food out and we had already eaten lunch; next time I'm filling up on the mac and cheese and chicken fingers :)  We did enjoy the punch and hot chocolate though.
