Summer To Do List

You've seen those blog and other social media posts where the families get together and make a lovely list of all of the things they want to do in the summertime, everyone has something to add, sometimes the kids do the writing or they draw pictures to illustrate their summer wish list.  This is the vision I had when I said to my kids (and husband), "What fun things would you like to do this summer? How about we pick three things each? It will be fun!".  The responses were less than overwhelming. Q came up with "camping", which is a great answer, but when I asked for two more he said "iPad games and TV" (eye roll).  E's answer was a grunt and shrug, "I don't know", and Dave said "Golf".  Thanks for your help guys.

So this is my own list of things I would like to do this summer, and I guess I'll drag the rest of my family along with me.

Paddleboarding in the Humber River

Bike Ride by the Lake

Toronto Myseum - their exhibit is entitled "From Mr. Dressup to Degrassi" so basically nostalgic Canadian kids TV programs, I'm in!

Blue Jays Game without the kids so we can spend time in the other new areas of the ballpark besides Park Social (where the kids' games are)

Union Station Summer Market

Annette St. Farmer's Market

Walk to get ice cream at Golden Gecko

See some live music, preferably outside

Go-Karting

Beach Day on Toronto Island

  1. Sounds like a fantastic list. I love exploring markets and museums. That exhibition sounds so good! The kids of Degrassi, Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High were my favourite!! I used to watch them with my mum.
