Happy Father's Day!

As with Mother's Day I love seeing everyone's messages to their dads on Facebook and Instagram.  I didn't grow up with my father since my parents divorced when I was four and then my dad moved out to Victoria, and my mom and I moved to Nova Scotia.  I certainly kept in touch with my dad growing up and received lots of gifts and knew I was loved.  My memories are different from most of the Father's Day posts that I see from many of my friends, but I still have great memories and things to be proud of.

I was also lucky to have my wonderful grandfathers who were always interested in what I was up to.

I have written about how great Dave is and how he an amazing father.  E and I are lucky to have him in our lives.

Even though not everyone has a "traditional" family, you can say that some of us are better off because we get to multiply the people in our lives.  People play roles that they may not normally have played.
