Movie, TV, and Book Recommendations

Linking up with The Blended Blog to share my recommendations for Movies, TV, and Books.  These are not necessarily my favourite things of all time, but things there are fairly new and that I think most people would like.

Movies - I always recommend The Lego Movie and Sing for families, or for adults who just appreciate good humour in the case of the first one, and good music in the case of the second one.  I also love It's Complicated with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. I could watch this over and over.  The Big Sick is also a great movie.

TV - A little CanCon for you with recommendations for The Handmaid's Tale, Alias Grace, and Anne with and E.   The first two are based on Margaret Atwood novels, and of course Anne is a remake of Anne of Green Gables, another cherished Canadian novel.

Books - A Man Called Ove, The Poisonwood Bible, and All My Puny Sorrows.  I think these books would appeal to a variety of readers since each book has great literary elements, but they don't get carried away; they all have wonderful stories and memorable characters.

I'm sure I am missing other great picks, but this should get you started ;)
