Favourite Summer Food

Earlier this week on CBC Radio, they were asking people to call in with their favourite ice cream flavour, and the inspiration for this post was born.  This is how I like my summer treats:

Hard Ice Cream - Mint chocolate chip.  I always get this and I am never disappointed. The best.

Popsicle - Root Beer (do they make this anymore?) or Three Flavoured

Freezie - White

Ice Cream Truck Treat - Ice Cream Sandwich

Blizzard - Chocolate Xtreme

Hot Dog Toppings - Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, and a few fried onions

Burger Toppings - Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Cheese, Ketchup, Mustard, and Mayonnaise.  And I like my bun toasted.

Steak - Medium Rare, sea salt and fresh cracked pepper (no BBQ sauce), side of fried mushrooms

Chips - Dill Pickle

Salad - Pasta (ditalini to be exact) with blanched asparagus, feta, bacon, and homemade ranch dressing

Picnic - Ham and cheese sandwich on a bun, chips, peach, and lemonade

Pie - Peach
