Weekend Recap

Oops!! I forgot to write my post yesterday!  I never forget, even when we are super busy, and on Monday night it just slipped my mind, and we didn't even do anything out of the ordinary, it was just a regular evening.  Oh well, I'm sure the only person that noticed was my mom!! (And I had to text her to make sure she knew nothing was wrong!)

So a day late, here is our weekend recap:

When I got to work on Friday morning, they were handing out flowers in the lobby for Mother's Day.  I enjoyed this on my desk all day and then brought it home.

We had a yummy taco bowl for supper.

After supper E went up the street with some friends (and their mom), and Q and Dave and I went for a walk down by the water.

It's pretty rough looking down there in spots, I don't know how it will all get cleaned up, or if it will.  The poor saplings they had planted last year all along the path.  They were destroyed by the ice and look so bad, it was like they planted driftwood instead of live trees.

This is what our front step looked like on Friday night.  We are getting some concrete work done.

After we got home and the boys put to bed we started Season 3 of True Detective.

On Saturday morning, I attempted to start potty training Q.  But he simply refused to put on underwear or a pull up (and since no one else was up yet, I didn't want to force him into it screaming).  So I put him in a diaper and gave up.  The Buzz Lightyear on the pull up did inspire his movie choice of Toy Story though!

I went to my workout class and when I got back we went to The Drake for an early Mother's Day brunch.

So delicious!  I can never resist eggs benedict with smoked salmon.

Dave and E went for a walk after lunch, and I did a bunch of stuff around the house and got some groceries.

E found this Santa hat in the toys.

A quick trip to the park before supper.

I slept in for a little bit on Sunday morning and came down to this lovely assortment of flowers, cards, and treats.

E made me this gem necklace (out of construction paper).

Off to church (nice smile E!)

E was supposed to have a t-ball game but it was so cold and rainy, the game got canceled. I was sad the weather was bad because I wanted to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom, but not sad because I didn't really want to go outside.

Dave was headed to Game 7 of the Raptors game so we ordered pizza for our supper.

E did some of his chores.

Best ending ever!!  Bring on the Bucks.

I had to wait for Dave to come home to watch Game of Thrones but in that time I made lunches and breakfast and finished my book!
