Weekend Recap

We had a fun weekend filled with lots of friends.  We had some people over on Friday night for pizza night. It's always great to have a family over where the kids can run around and the parents can sit at the counter and chat.

This was maybe pizza of the week based on the crust rise, but my white pizza was a very close second.

Nerf battles.

And a costume party.

This was E's version of Tony Stark.

On Saturday morning E had a playoff baseball game.  First they had a team photo.

They were down 4-0 going into the last inning and they rallied and won!  It was very exciting, including a base hit from E.

Rally caps all around.

Then we rushed home for a birthday party for our neighbour.  E joined in too to see the animals.

Petting a bunny.

Wearing a chinchilla.

After the party we had a very short break at home and then we piled in the car to go to our friends' place in Burlington. Dave golfed with the other dads and then the moms and kids started the party.  They have a nice little pool that the kids just loved.

They also have a dog and E loved that.  He even got to take it for a walk.

On Sunday we went back to church.  I sang in the choir and the boys had Sunday School.  They had an ice cream truck in the parking lot afterwards and everyone enjoyed it. It's nice to be back.

When we got home I did some cleaning up and waited for Dave to come back from golf so I could go to the grocery store.  We took a quick bike down to the river before supper,

E has been asking to get the "banana boat" from the ice cream truck but it's $10.00 so I said we could just get the ingredients for our own ice cream sundaes and we could all have them and have them more than once.  We got our sundaes and then watched Rise of Gru.

  1. What a fun weekend especially the party with the animals. I don't think I have ever seen a chinchilla before. That pizza looks good and it's made me hungry to look at. I'm going to jump off the computer and go and eat something. Hope you have a great week!
