Sharing Our Lives - How I met Dave

Hello! Happy Monday.  You can join us on the second Monday of every month with these topics.  Use our graphics and link up with us below.  My co-hosts are AdrienneDaraJen, and Joanne

Today we are sharing how we met our significant other.

I met Dave in the summer of 2002, this was after I had finished third year university (Dalhousie in Halifax Nova Scotia) and had moved out of residence into an apartment with two other friends.  Dave was a friend of a friend and he was at my apartment one night when I got home from work (I was a waitress at Salty's).  My friends were going out but I decided to stay home after working a long day.  I had herad of Dave before, as we had many mutual friends, and the perpetual description of him was that he was "so funny".  I wasn't really interested in him at the time I first met him, but I do remember thinking "I could like this guy" (I was always assessing the options out there! haha).  Months went by and we were both involved with other people.  It wasn't until the following winter when we actually hung out.  I think I still used ICQ back then and I had MSN Messenger, but no Facebook, no cell phone, no texting, it's a wonder we were able to find each other.  Luckily we still had those mutual friends, and Halifax is a small city, so were ran into each other a few times before we eventually started dating.

I guess it is roughly the anniversary of our first date, since we went to the 2003 Brier (national mens' curling tournament) that was being hosted in Halifax that year.  The Brier is typically held around the first of March.
