Weekend Recap

We are back into summer weather around here with 30 degrees and humidity and our air conditioner is back on!  On Friday night we had a quick supper and then walked up the street to the Ukrainian Festival.  This is an annual event in Bloor West Village and we usually attend if we are in town.

E was eager to try out the rock climbing wall and did awesome!

It wasn't busy so they let them go again.

Then he picked out a beavertail as a treat, Q enjoyed a few bites too.

On Saturday morning we went to the festival again but this time purchased a ride bracelet for E.  The rides are getting a little young for him, but he enjoyed them.  It was getting hot so we just stayed until lunchtime.  The last time we went to a street fest Q wasn't that into the rides, so we didn't bother getting him any tickets this time.  He was happy enough to watch.

Playing some carnival games - Dave won a stuffed monkey that he gave to E, and then E gave it to Q and named him Monk. #imagination

In the afternoon Q napped and I took E with me on my errands.  First stop was Party City to get some stuff for Q's birthday (which by the way was unsuccessful, I guess Baby Shark parties are not popular) and also a Halloween costume for E.  He tried on this hot dog hat too.

Then we hit up Indigo, Costco, and picked up our grocery order at Loblaws.  Q was just getting up when we got home.  We played around in the backyard and then made supper.  Q kept me company while I was BBQing.

After supper we went back to the festival for a few more rides, games, ice cream for Q, and cotton candy for E.

Everyone was tired when we got home and the kids went right to bed.   Dave and I watched the newest Mission Impossible.  I only fell asleep for a few of the action scenes but I got the main idea.

On Sunday morning Dave went for a run, as he does, and I cleaned the living room and put up our fall decorations.  The kids just played.

Then I took the boys to church.  I thought I would try keeping Q in church until the kids go down to Sunday school instead of taking him to the nursery for the entire service, but it didn't go that well, so the nursery it is!!

I made some food in the afternoon while Dave did some stuff in the yard.

After supper we went to the playground.

And then I got ready for yoga.  What a great end to a busy weekend!
