Today's topic for this link up is How We Fall! That's right, the calendar may say it is still summer, but now that school has started and the weather has changed, it's time to get ready for fall.
Fall around here means:
End of soccer season for E with a weekend wrap up in High Park
Going back to Church and Sunday School
Ukrainian Festival on Bloor West
Q's birthday party
Salmon Run in the Humber River
Putting up some fall decorations
Starting swimming lessons again
Thanksgiving
Making stuff with pumpkins, cranberries, and apples
Travel - I love travelling in the fall, we've done Peru, New York, Barcelona, and this year it will be Florida
E's birthday party
Raking all the leaves
Halloween
After that, all of my attention turns to Christmas!
This year we also hosted our neighbours for a Back to School BBQ which was super fun and I'd like to make that a tradition. Since all of our weekends fill up so quickly with the above events, we rarely have extra time for a trip to farm or orchard, but we did that one year when E was 2 and it was really fun. Going to Niagara-on-the-Lake and the wineries is also a good trip to do in the fall. And some year I'd like to make the trip to the market at St. Jacob's I still have not been there and it looks amazing.
