I've written about Remembrance Day several times before (here, here, here, and here) and I don't have too much new to say, but I didn't want to let the day go by without referencing it in some way.
Indigenous Veterans' Day was on Monday, November 8, and on that day I saw the following poem and I thought it was worth sharing with you today.
And for today's remembrance, we remember all of the people from Canada (and elsewhere in the world) who fought for freedom and peace, including those from Indigenous origins, so many people contributed in their own way to the Allied forces winning World War I and II. Take some time pause and remember them.
Thank you for sharing that poem. It's beautiful.
