I quickly read that first one and then the sequel Something Blue. I've purchased every book since then, but only after they have come out in paperback so I could stack them next to each other on my book shelf.
Last Friday when I was at Shoppers, I decided to treat myself to the newest Emily Giffin Book (since it was out in paperback), The One and Only.
Since then I have barely been able to put it down. I read it in my car in the parking lot at my office, at lunch, in bed, and right now as I'm writing this post. I have only a couple of chapters left and I am contemplating staying up to read them even though it is late.
These are more than just easy chick-lit reads, they are more intelligent than that. Sure there is a "formula" for the story telling, but there is something about the writing that makes it better than typical beach reads. I can't remember the last time I wasn't able to put a book down, so there is definitely something special about these books.
I am glad I have purchased all of the books, because I have read them more than once. I definitely recommend them for a quick entertaining read.
The one and only was the only one of her books I didn't enjoy! It was a bit weird for me. I reread her books too :-)
