Friday Favourites

Look what arrived on Tuesday, our new Peloton bike.  Dave has been using the Peloton app for years and used his road bike on a trainer, and we finally decided to get the actual Peloton bike.  I actually haven't used it yet because I had other planned workouts for Wednesday and Thursday, but I will hop on it today!  So excited to try something new.

I posted about our St. Patrick's Day plans on Wednesday.

We kicked it off with some "green" (more or less) pancakes:

The kids had these orange and green lunches that day...

...and we enjoyed this delicious meal of shepherd's pie and soda bread that night.

And beer or two :)

Earlier this week the Vatican communicated the disappointing statement that the Catholic Church cannot bless gay marriage because it can't bless "sin".  What a juxtaposition from my own church that just celebrated its anniversary of becoming an Affirming Ministry.  This means we "value the diversity of the human family: people of all races, ages, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities and economic positions". All are welcome!

We checked out the new kids show on Netflix, Waffles and Mochi, produced and starring Michelle Obama.  It is a food show for kids so of course we are all over that.  It's so cute and kept us all entertained.

Happy Friday everyone!

  1. Wow! That new bike is exciting for you two! And it doesn't look like it takes up a lot of space. Happy spin workouts! I'll have to look for that new show you mentioned. Sounds interesting.

  5. Okay, now I want to make shepherd's pie AND soda bread. And the whole discussion about homosexual marriages makes me so mad. Who are we to judge?!?! Can we not focus on more important things please??? Yay for more affirming churches but why can't they just all be affirming???
