We enjoyed a gorgeous weekend with lots of outdoor time, my favourite! On Friday night we made our homemade pizzas and had a glass of wine (or two!) with the neighbours.
On Saturday morning we watched the F1 qualifying and then Dave left to play golf.
I got the kids together and we went to High Park with some friends to have a pizza lunch and splash pad time.
Q was wiped out after we got back and had a quick nap.
We had an easy night and watched Luca on Disney Plus. It's so cute!
The next day was Father's Day. Dave had a nice sleep in and then went for a run. When he got back he enjoyed a cinnamon bun and smoothie bowl and we watched the F1 race.
Then I took Q to his first session of soccer while Dave and E went to the driving range/practice area at the golf club. Q was excited to be out running around with other kids.
For the afternoon we went on a bike ride to Henderson Brewery and got some drinks on their patio.
We wanted to grab an early supper on the way home and found a spot at Fox and John on Bloor. The kids haven't eaten out at a restaurant since last September so this was a treat.
Once we got home, everyone got cleaned up, Dave and I watched the golf, and we had a few tarts that I had picked up for a Father's Day treat from Hot Oven Bakery.
Sun, sports, beer, and good food - best weekend for the best Dad!
That picture of Q taking his nap...it's great to see him play hard and then just flake out like that! Sweet. I like the card designed as a shirt. Nana Do would approve! Looks like Dave had a lovely weekend celebrating. He's a such a great dad.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an excellent weekend! I think E and Rachel's teachers had the kids make them the same card for Father's Day! Hahaha! And I love that Dave sent you a photo of himself golfing. Did he do it just for the blog?!?!
ReplyDeleteHe does know I'm always looking for "content" but he also needed to do his own Instagram post!! :)
DeleteSoccer is starting now? I emailed THPFC because I saw sessions starting August 30 at Rennie Park and Chloe wants to play! Do you know the difference between the sessions happening now and those starting then? I am looking forward to watching Luca with the kids!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great weekend! I am looking forward to watching Luca with the kids.
ReplyDeleteAlso, soccer is starting now? I contacted THPFC because Chloe wants to play but it seemed like it was starting August 30 at Rennie Park for 4 year olds. Is Q playing with them?
Q is doing the Humberside session so it starts full time in July when they can get the permits. For now they have three Sunday sessions for people who have signed up for the summer just organized by last name, not team. I think the Rennie group can join the Sunday sessions too but then they don't play weekly until the end of summer.
DeleteThey just got back to me. They told me Rennie is a 5 week program aimed at people who are away for much of the summer. I will try to sign her up for Humberside too. Thanks for the tip! I guess we already missed the first week. I hope we will see you and Q there!
DeleteWhat a fabulous weekend!
ReplyDeleteI just signed Chloe up for Tuesday soccer at Humberside! What day does Q play? I guess we missed the Sunday sessions, but better late than never.
