Today we are talking about our favourite smells.
Coconut Sunscreen - I don't really smell this anymore, I don't use the Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen that had that original scent that I love, and I'm not even sure if they have the same formula.
Florida - Okay, maybe it's not exactly "Florida" but when I have stayed at Disney, in Miami, and in the Florida Keys I have smelled the same smell when walking into the hotels. I have tried to find this scent in a candle but am so far unsuccessful. I don't even know exactly what it is, but when I smell it, I know.
Wood Burning in Cold Weather - I love a real fire in the winter, especially if I'm outside.
Baking Pastries - croissant, pie, quiche - yummy!
Fresh Basil - or really any fresh herbs while they are being picked from the garden.
Coffee - coming downstairs in the morning to an already brewing pot of coffee, or walking into a cafe, it's so welcoming.
Eucalyptus - or whatever spas smell like, so lovely.
Here are the graphics and topics for next year - mark your calendars for the second Monday of each month.
I also love the smell of a real fire in winter. It always takes me back to sitting around the campfire at church camp when I was a teen. I can almost smell it now just thinking about it! It’s amazing how closely our memories are tied to scents.
ReplyDeleteI also love the smell of basil. And I was going to put a few places as well (Baseball games, especially at the Skydome and New York City) but I couldn't figure out how to describe them so your smell of "Florida" totally makes sense to me. Places *do* have a smell!
ReplyDeleteDisney definitely pipes in different smells in their hotels and parks. They are good!
ReplyDeleteYes, that old school sunscreen smell was the best!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful smells!! I love all of them. I love that smell in hotels, even here in the UK some have a smell which I have failed to recreate at home but want to.
ReplyDeleteI love the scents in a nice hotel! Also, fresh baked goods are amazing.
ReplyDeletecoconut sunscreen reminds me of vacation
