Hello! It's our last edition of 2023's Not Just a Mom Link Up. We are so glad you're stopping by to check in with us as we share our lives.
My co-hosts are Adrienne, Dara, Jen, Lauren, and Joanne. If you blogged on this topic, please link up below.
As our final topic, we are talking about our favourite books and/or series.
For the past couple of years I have been keeping track of all of the books I've read and then choose my favourites.
2018
Scarborough by Catherine Hernandez
2019
An American Marriage by Tayari Jones
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh
2020
Normal People by Sally Rooney
2021
Where the Forest Meets The Stars by Glendy Vanderah
From the Ashes by Jesse Thistle
2022
Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr
Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club by Megan Gail Coles
Of Marriageable Age by Sharon Maas
(By the way, I'll be sharing my favourite book(s) of 2023)
When I talk to other about TV shows from the past, I sometimes refer to them as that's a Top 5 show or a Top 10 show. But I have never put them in actual order, and I really don't want to do that here either. I feel like it's a fluid list so I'm loath to set anything in stone. However, shows that always seem to come up when I'm talking about my top shows are:
Seinfeld
Mad Men
Downton Abbey
The Sopranos
Breaking Bad
Game of Thrones
Dawson's Creek (Team Pacey)
The Office
Band of Brothers (was that a "show"? It was a limited series, so I guess it counts)
Fleabag (only two seasons but so good!)
Sex and the City
Lost
And two current shows that I love but I'm not sure how they will fit into this list - The Bear and The White Lotus.
Check out the posts from this past year:
January - Introductions
February - House Rules
March - Day in the Life, Weekend Edition
April - Cleaning Hacks
May - Pet Peeves
June - How I Became a Mom

We are excited to keep this link up going for next year, but with a rebrand as "Share Our Lives". Please save these graphics and plan to link up with us on the second Monday of each month.
We enjoyed the White Lotus too! Though I preferred season 1 over season 2. I think the only book I've read from your favorites list is Where the Crawdads Sing. I'll have to check out some of the other ones!
ReplyDeleteI think we have slightly different reading tastes! But I did love I Let You Go from your list.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to add Downton Abbey to my list, I loved that series! I'm excited for next years rebranded link-up. The topics sound great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great selection of books. A lot of these are new to me but my eldest has read Where the Crawdads Sing and really enjoyed it. A lot of the TV shows that you mentioned are my favourite too.
ReplyDeleteI loved Crawdads! Travis watches The Bear and likes it.
ReplyDeleteI loved Band Of Brothers when I watched it! It was soooo good and engaging!!!
